How Can You Know What to Believe? Are There Really Answers?
The confirmation program, led by David Ealy, is designed for those 9th Grade or older. The program runs the length of the school year and consists of movie clips, music, Bible study, retreats, workshops and more covering topics like Theology, History, Worship and Sacraments, Faith, and Biblical Exegesis (what we get out of the Bible). The goal of the program is for our young people to be able to make an informed decision about being a part of the church (or not). It is a fun class, but a lot of work. Meeting on Sunday mornings (and other days as scheduled), this class is a way to ask questions, struggle with answers, and seek God who wants to be found. A centerpiece of the program are mentors. These are folks who have an interest in young people and in them connecting with the church. Mentors are required to attend the class with their confirmand.
